An informational tool
The converters, calculators and guides are provided for general information. Results are estimates based on the formulas and figures described on the methodology page. They are not professional, technical, financial or legal advice, and they are not a guarantee of what any connection, device or service will deliver.
No warranty
We work to keep the arithmetic exact and the published figures current, but the site is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose and availability. Services change their recommendations, and plans and equipment vary, so check important decisions (such as choosing or cancelling a plan) against your provider's own information.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, the site operator is not liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of, or reliance on, the site or its results. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Acceptable use
You may use the calculators and share links freely for personal and business purposes. Please don't attempt to disrupt the site, overload it with automated requests, or present its content as your own. Quoting a result or linking to a page is welcome.
Links to other sites
Guides link to official sources and to speed tests run by others. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content or privacy practices.
Advertising and affiliate links
The site may be funded by advertising and by affiliate links. This section explains how, and what it does not affect.
- Advertising. If display ads are enabled, they load only after you accept in the consent bar, and they are placed separately from calculator results. How ad providers use data is covered in the privacy policy and the cookies page.
- Affiliate links. Some pages may link to internet plans or equipment such as routers. If you follow such a link and buy something, the site may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate links are labelled as such next to the link and marked
rel="sponsored"for search engines.
What this never changes. Calculator results are computed the same way whether or not a link earns anything. The suggested plan tier is the next common tier at or above what you need, never a tier chosen because it pays more, and when a slower plan is enough we say so. If something looks like an undisclosed promotion, please let us know.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms. These terms are governed by the laws applicable where the site operator is established.
